Interiors Review
I have worked with Olivia using YHD’s full interior design service. I love that you can tailor the level of service and I initially started with just some aspects.
After meeting Liv and starting with the colour scheme and vision board, I elected to add on the balance of the package as I was so impressed with what Liv presented. I don’t know how she does it, but I feel she managed to articulate my specific design aesthetics with her understanding and expertise of what works well from an interior design perspective. I am so excited for the realisation of the vision Liv has created.
I highly recommend having an interior selections schedule prepared. It saved me countless hours of time as I simply had to check whether I was happy with the selections. I felt as though Liv could read my mind as she selected with 98% accuracy colours, fixtures and fittings I love but are also what I could not have contemplated independently. The wet area drawings remove the ambiguity of where fixtures or fittings should be positioned and Liv also included the tile layout.
I feel that I can trust Liv’s advice because she can explain the reasons for her suggestions and will speak up if she has concerns about something I suggest, and was also open to my suggestions. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Liv and you will love working with her. She is endlessly helpful and I could not recommend YHD Interiors more highly.
Building Design
I actually came to YHD after working with a ‘designer’ who did not have the skill and expertise they represented. I was left with half-baked plans that were not at the standard required for a DA. I was very grateful that YHD were willing to work with me moving forward, whilst recognising the concept plans so far, and I cannot overstate the quality of service provided.
On many occasions I have felt the best way to describe YHD is like a well oiled machine. I feel that there are systems and processes in place behind the scenes to ensure best practice and the best client experience. All my experiences with YHD staff have been friendly, professional and efficient.
I personally worked with Sammy who has had excellent ideas for my renovation/extension and also with regard to Council rules (you can’t assume your designer is across this). I was blown away by the efficiency of producing plans and Sketchup models of the project after consultation (a matter of days or weeks, not months). .Very recently I have had Your home designs complete a DA Modification application with Newcastle council. Firstly I completed an online enquiring. Which was acted on quickly, with their office booking in creative director Zoe for a site visit. Zoe was extremely helpful with the Modifications I wanted changed on my council DA
During the design phase Senior building designer Sammy Richards carried out all the necessary design modifications and council applications. This was all done in a timely manner and so detailed! I now have my DA modification application approved ready to receive a construction certificate to complete the works! Thank you Your Home designs! This was such a positive experience to start 2024!
