Located in Lambton Newcastle, this timeless design ticks all the boxes for a families needs! This design screams Modern/Coastal crossed with cottage, perfect for the location of the property!  

 

The brief for this Lambton knockdown / rebuild was to design a comfortable family home that accommodates young and older family members, while working within the constraints of a Mine Subsidence area.

 

It was important to the client for us to provide natural light throughout the living areas, to allow easy flow from the internal area to the alfresco - we think the skylights were the perfect design element to achieve this! The client's brief was to also create a facade that was sympathetic to the street scape and appeal. 

The building maximises the strengths of the block and has been designed to slightly step down to allow a minimal drop to the rear yard. The upper level comprises of 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a family room; a double garage, guest room, bathroom and laundry on the ground level; and the lounge, dining, kitchen and alfresco on the lower level.

Additional features include black-butt flooring, high ceilings, open-plan living spaces, maximum storage, walk-in pantry, statement staircase and great size rear yard (potentially to include a pool.) 

The build was completed in 2019 by Indie Living.
